Description
Description #2: There was a well-known Christian artist when I was in high school that suddenly seemed to go a bit off course. I don’t think it was anything major, but their attitude really began to show, and it wasn’t pretty. I had the pleasure of attending one of their concerts and got a behind-the-scenes glimpse at this individual. This song, that I wrote, was inspired by that interaction and situation. It was truly meant to not chide or judge, but was just what bubbled up in my heart after that experience. The song just came out…as songs tend to do.
Ironically, on my first trip to Nashville, as my plane banked over the east and turned west to show off the beautiful skyline at sunset, one of their songs was playing in my ear as I listened to their album during that flight. That song at that moment spoke exactly to what I was feeling and experiencing. It was pretty cool. Now, more than 40 years after their rise to fame, that person is still releasing albums and making music for the Lord. Very cool indeed. It just shows, that sometimes we don’t show ourselves well, but that doesn’t mean God can’t and won’t use us. This artist proved that point!
